ABOUT THE EVENT:
Starting on Thursday, December 2, the public can come and enjoy C.R.O.W.’s four “dazzling” Holiday window displays and listen to an original parking lot radio show!
The windows will be illuminated every night in December from 5 pm to 8 pm, with an extra special effect ONLY available Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 5-8 pm, in conjunction with the parking lot radio show.
But what is a “parking lot radio show,” you might ask? It’s simple. All you need to do is back your car into a space facing the building, and tune into the FM station specified on the sign. Then, sit back and enjoy four short stories which match the windows. In addition to the stories, there will be hilarious made-up commercials, a fake weather report, adorable Holiday jokes, Dear Santa letters read by kids, and much more. The entire show is approximately 45 minutes and plays on a loop, so don't worry if you miss the beginning.
C.R.O.W. has also added a “Look and Find” contest for both kids and adults. Visitors can count how many candy canes, cookies, red plaid bows, and big black buttons they find in the windows. Then, email their findings to C.R.O.W. at crowtheatrekids@yahoo.com for a chance to be entered into a raffle for REALLY great prizes! *winners must pick up in Florence
Don’t forget to snap a picture with your favorite window and share it with us! We'd love to post the picture on our Facebook/IG pages. #crowrocks #theartsreallydomatter
DECEMBER 11th 5:30- 7 PM - SPECIAL EVENT!
The live vocal music event will feature several “C.R.O.W. kids” who will entertain audiences in the parking lot (weather permitting) with holiday songs & cheer. Hot chocolate will be provided to guests. Join us!
Guests must wear facial coverings/masks and maintain social distancing, during this event for the safety of everyone in attendance. C.R.O.W. asks for all guests to please use good judgement and not to attend if they have any COVID symptoms that might put others at risk.
ABOUT THE CO-DESIGNERS:
Melanie Heard is the Artistic Director and Founder of C.R.O.W. and Brian Sandahl is a multi-talented Scenic Artist and retired Senior Art Director from Disneyland.
Together, the pair of Tinsel-covered troublemakers have created a fun and whimsical window display, that they both hope puts you into a wonderful and merry mood for the entire month of December (and the New Year, too)! Melanie also wrote the many commercials and DJ copy for the parking lot radio show, and plays "Heather Feathers" - a very flighty weather girl.
