Matilda is a little girl with astonishing wit, intelligence and psychokinetic powers. She's unloved by her cruel parents but impresses her schoolteacher Miss Honey. During her first term at school, the two forge a bond as Miss Honey begins to recognize and appreciate Matilda's extraordinary personality. Matilda's school life isn't completely smooth sailing, however – the school's mean headmistress, Miss Trunchbull, hates children and just loves to punish those who don't abide by her rules. But Matilda has courage and cleverness in equal amounts, and could be the hero of her own story after all!

CLUE 7/26/23 - IT IS NOT GREASE!

Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959: smooth-talking Burger Palace Boys and the sassy Pink Ladies in bobby sox and pedal pushers. Head Greaser, Danny Zuko, and new girl, Sandy Dumbrowski, try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie."  The school edition is "kid-friendly" and removes any adult language/ references such as Rizzo's unexpected pregnancy.   The beloved musical Grease holds it's place firmly, among the world's most popular shows, for good reason! It's fabulous!

CLUE 7/5/23 - IT IS NOT ALADDIN!

In Agrabah, City of Enchantment, every beggar has a story and every camel has a tail!  Aladdin, a kind but wily street urchin, falls in love with the beautiful Princess Jasmine, whom he knows is waaaaay out of his league. It just so happens, however, that the Sultan has declared Princess Jasmine must choose a husband. After she turns down the offers from various wealthy suitors, Aladdin -- with the help of a fast-talking, magical Genie -- introduces himself as wealthy suitor Prince Ali Ababua. Meanwhile, evil royal advisor Jafar also has his sights set on the kingdom, and tries to convince the Sultan to force Jasmine to wed him. Will love conquer all? Perhaps - if love has a little help from a Genie.

Welcome to New York City, 1899. Jack Kelly and his ragtag team of newsies make a meager living selling newspapers on the city streets. But when the prices of “papes” are hiked and the newsies are hung out to dry, there is nothing left to do but “open the gates and seize the day!” Led by charismatic Jack and independent, young newspaper reporter Katherine Plummer, the Newsies form a union and organize a strike against the greedy publisher of the New York World. Can a group of idealistic newsboys win against a foe as powerful as acclaimed publisher Joseph Pulitzer?

CLUE 7/18/23 - IT IS NOT ANYTHING GOES!

Anything Goes is a toe-tappin' musical with a score by Cole Porter!  The show is set aboard the ocean liner S. S. American, where an elegant nightclub singer named Reno Sweeney is en route from New York to England. Her pal, Billy Crocker, has stowed away to be near his love, Hope Harcourt.  But the problem is...Hope is engaged to the wealthy Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Joining this love triangle on board the luxury liner are Public Enemy #13, Moonface Martin and his sidekick-in-crime Erma. With the help of some elaborate disguises, tap-dancing sailors and good old-fashioned blackmail, Reno and Martin join forces to help Billy in his quest to win Hope’s heart.

CLUE 6/28/23 - IT IS NOT CINDERELLA!

The smart and beautiful young Ella lives in the care of her wicked, self-absorbed stepmother Madame, and Madame’s two daughters, Charlotte and Gabrielle. Ella’s only friends in the world are the animals in the woods, “Crazy Marie” and the revolutionary student Jean-Michel. Meanwhile in another part of the kingdom, Prince Topher is trying to find himself and learn his place in the kingdom. When his scheming advisor Sebastian suggests throwing a Ball so the Prince could meet potential brides, Ella and Topher’s different worlds come together. Expect the unexpected in this clever retelling of the beloved fairytale.  Be careful not to lose your shoe...or your heart.  It's possible.

CLUE 7/12/23 - IT IS NOT SEUSSICAL!

A musical perfect for the whole family, Seussical takes us into the world of Dr. Seuss. The Cat in the Hat guides us into The Jungle of Nool where we meet Horton, the kind hearted elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whoville. Horton is introducted to JoJo, a Who child sent to military school for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton decides he must protect the speck of dust on a nearby clover, while at the same time protecting an abandoned egg left to his care by the lazy Mayzie la Bird. Horton tries to convince the other animals in The Jungle of the existence of the Whos, but he is ridiculed and put on trial for insanity. Only his loyal neighbor, Gertrude McFuzz, never loses faith in him.  One of the most widely produced musicals in the country, Seussical weaves a story of friendship, loyalty, and love.

CLUE 8/2/23 - IT IS NOT INTO THE WOODS!

Stephen Sondheim's "Into the Woods" follows The Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella who wishes to go the King’s Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would give some milk. When the Baker and his wife are visited by the neighborhood witch, who reveals to them that she placed a curse on their family, the two set off on a journey into the woods to reverse the curse. Also in the woods, we meet Little Red, who is trying to visit her grandmother, the Wolf who loves tasty little girls, the Witch’s daughter Rapunzel, and the Princes chasing after their loves. By the end of Act I, everyone has gotten their wish and will seemingly live happily ever after. But in Act II, things suddenly change and now the fairy tale community must come together to save each other and their kingdom.
