Summer Theatre Camps


Camp #1 - Song & Dance Camp

July 8th - 20th, 2019

Got a song in your heart and a boogie in your step?  Then this is the perfect camp for you!  During this fast-paced, exciting two week day camp, students will quickly memorize a variety of songs from different genres and some clever choreography to go with them.  Then, on the last day of camp, students will get to dazzle in a mini-performance for friends and family!  No experience is required.  Space is limited, and this camp is always full, so don't wait to sign up.  Ages 6+.   Instructors:  Jason Wood & Siarrah Rain.  Cost: $250 - includes T-shirt.  Camp hours are Mon-Fri from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will be a Free Showcase on the final day of camp - July 19th at 3 pm, and kids will perform again at "Party in the Parking Lot" for Power of Florence on July 20th.  

Camp #2 -

The C.R.O.W. School of Wizardry, Mysticism, & Theatrical Arts

July 22nd - August 2nd, 2019

There will be magic in the air this summer at C.R.O.W!  Join us for an electrifying and whimsical camp with a wizarding theme!  Learn how to properly deliver a magical chant.  Practice proper wand movements for turning your parents into toads.   Create your own magical shield symbol to represent your unique creative abilities, and find your spirit animal!  We will also play wizard-themed improv games and do theatre activities designed to strengthen key performing arts skills.  No experience is required.  Space is limited.  Ages 6+.   Instructors:  Melanie Heard and Genevieve Meltzer.  Cost: $250 - includes T-shirt.  Camp hours are Mon-Fri from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will be a Free Showcase on the final day of camp - August 2nd at 3 pm.  Come meet the C.R.O.W. School of Wizardry graduates....if you DARE!  

Camp #3 - ADVANCED ACTING PROGRAM- August 5th - 17th, 2019

The 2019 Advanced Acting Program will focus on creating and presenting a comedic and/or dramatic monologue that is deeply personal to each participant, with an ultimate goal of publishing a book of the students' finished work.  AAP Students are requested to come to the first day of camp with a rough draft of their monologues, so that camp time may be better utilized for revisions, fine-tuning, and character development.  Don't worry...we are here to help you!  Minimum Age: 12+.  Instructors:  Melanie Heard and Diane David.  Cost: $250 - includes T-shirt.  Camp hours are Mon-Fri from 10 am to 2 pm.  There will be two evening public performances on August 16th and 17th at 7pm.  Students must attend all days of camp and all performances.  Participation in this camp is by audition or invitation.  Ask for information.  Parents, please be aware that this camp may contain mature subject matter.

Tiny Tot Saturday Day Camps!

July 6th 12:30 - 3:30 PM: Magical Creatures

August 3rd 12:30 - 3:30 PM: Fairytale Forest

August 31st 12:30-3:30 PM:  Ocean Adventures

Taught by Angela Palmer

These are camps specially designed for ages 3-6 years old.  During these fun and fast paced three hour day camps, kids will participate in a wide variety of dance and music games, imaginative theatre activities, and clever crafts which align with the themes above.  There will be an afternoon snack provided, and kids will also get some free play time on our fun outdoor playground (weather permitting).   Kids must be potty trained and must eat lunch BEFORE coming to camp. Cost: $30 per camp, or sign up for all three for $75 (To get discount, fee must be paid in advance.)  Sorry, there are no refunds for missed camps.  All art materials provided. Kids should wear clothes they can easily dance/move in.  Kids should bring water in a closed container with a tightly fitting lid.  Please see enrollment form below!

2 week camps = $250 (includes a camp T-shirt).  $50 non-refundable deposit required to enroll in each camp.  Balance due on first day of camp. Students must bring sack lunch.  All other materials provided.  


Sorry, there are no sibling discounts this year.  If you enroll your child in both Song & Dance camp and Wizardry camp, you will receive a $25 discount off the second camp.

Tiny Tot Saturday day camps are different.  Please see info above.  Tiny Tots camps will have a snack provided, as well as all other materials.


Camp Location- The C.R.O.W. Center for the Performing Arts-3120 Hwy 101 in Florence.

Financial Need based scholarships are available on a limited basis.  Scholarships require a separate application.  Must be turned in by deadline, or your application will be disqualified!  Priority is given to students/families who are "new" to C.R.O.W. and those with the greatest financial need.  We do our very best to make it possible for all children to attend camp.  Don't be afraid to submit an application!  Please note: Our 2019 scholarship application requires proof of fiances (i.e.-tax return, payroll report) and a letter of recommendation.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at
